Sex Determination in Avian Species
The sex chromosomes in birds are designated Z and W, and the male is the homomorphic sex (ZZ) and the female heteromorphic (ZW). We design PCR test to distinguish sex chromosomes in avian species.
Canine Parvovirus Testing
Canine parvovirus (CPV, colloquially parvo) is a contagious virus mainly affecting dogs. CPV2 is highly contagious and is spread from dog to dog by direct or indirect contact with their feces. We are able to detect the virus in blood and stool by DNA based methods.
Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) Testing
Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a viral disease of cats caused by certain strains of a virus called the feline coronavirus. Most strains of feline coronavirus are avirulent, which means that they do not cause disease, and are referred to as feline enteric coronavirus. We are able to identify the virus by PCR.
Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) Testing
Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a lentivirus that affects cats worldwide, with 2.5% to 4.4% of being infected. We design molecular test to find the virus in cats.
